Facilities:

The department has learning facilities like library, psychological lab. The library is equipped with around 150 reading materials, including textbooks, magazines, reference books, journals, yearbooks, educational CDs, etc. The Psychological Laboratory is equipped with latest psychological tests and apparatus, e.g. Bhatia’s performance Test of Intelligence, Maze Learning, etc. Activities: The department regularly organise departmental seminar, class seminars, project seminars, group discussions, field studies, etc. for the students. During pendamic, the department has conducted online classes via different modes like Google Classroom, Zoom Cloud meetings, E-mails, WhatsApp etc. Teacher’s Day is celebrated every year. The department also provides academic guidance and career counseling to the needy students for proper use of their potentiality and creativity. Students of the department actively participate to bring out the departmental wall magazine titled Mirror. One yearly departmental magazine namely Vidya has been published by the department since 2021.

Achievements:

The department has been showing very good results in the BA examinations. Former students of this department are well placed in various job sectors like Assistant Professor, School Teacher, Office personnel in different offices, Businessman etc. Several passed out students could secure seats in prestigious institutions like Bodoland University, Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit And Ancient Studies University etc.
