Date of establishment: 1993. Our College was established on 1st August in 1993, since that time Assamese subject was introduced as MIL for Degree Course. In the first, there were 46 students as a whole and the number of student for Assamese subject were 26 Major course in Assamese was opened in the year 2004.

The Department of Economics was established on 01-08-1993. At the initial stage, the department was run by experienced part timers. But, now the department is fulfilled with three faculty members having all types of UGC norms.

The Department of English established in 1993 has been trying to impart knowledge of English literature and language in particular and the world of literature in general to the students of the area.
The history of the department can be traced back to 1993 when the college was established. The department owes its distinct identity to, then the Principal Amar Nayak who supported a lot to progress the department into next level. For a long period of time the eminent teachers like Mr. Gopal Chandra Sarma and Mr. Dhruba Lal Ghimire contributed a lot to consolidate the foundation of the department.
